The word gospel literally means “good news.” Not ordinary good news like a job offer, a relationship update, or a social media win—but life-changing news that affects your identity and your future. In the Bible, the Gospel centers on what Jesus Christ has done for humanity. It is the announcement that God has acted in history to rescue and restore people who could not save themselves.

At its core, the good news is this: even though humanity is broken by sin and separated from God, Jesus lived a perfect life, died sacrificially, and rose again to make forgiveness and reconciliation possible. The Gospel is not about self-improvement or trying harder to be moral. It is about grace—God offering undeserved mercy and a restored relationship through faith in Christ.

For young adults especially, this message speaks directly into questions of identity, purpose, and worth. In a world that constantly measures value by success, appearance, or achievement, the Gospel declares that your worth is rooted in being loved by God. It reminds you that your past does not define you, your mistakes are not final, and your life has eternal meaning. That’s why it is truly called good news.
